As we count down to NASA’s Perseverance Rover landing on Mars this month, we will use this world-wide “teachable moment” to discover how, why, and what the rover will explore on Mars. All while designing and building our very own mission to Mars!
Scientists discover new species all the time! In this STEAM unit, students will use what they learn about adaptations, habitats, life cycle, food webs, classification, genetics and heredity
to create a new species of their own; designing a 3D creature that has never been seen before.
Forensic science is the application of scientific methods and processes used for the purpose of the law; it is an ideal way to demonstrate applied science.
Learners will have the opportunity to role play the part of an investigating officer at a crime scene and a forensic scientist in the laboratory. The techniques studied will enable your learners to use a variety of scientific processes to develop practical and analytical skills that are useful and applicable to many sectors of the science industry.
WHEN VACATIONS GO WRONG
Natural disasters happen!! Even worse when they happen on vacation! Your students will learn about spectacular natural events and complete related STEM challenges that will feature experimenting, design and data to help them make life saving decisions.
